Equality Now is an organization that works to help protect women’s rights by using the law to advocate for equality across the globe.

Almost every country in the world has laws on the books that treat women differently than men. Equality Now believes that social change begins with legal change, so they work to change laws across the world in an effort to create equality for women, believing that legal equality will help reduce violence towards and discrimination of women. https://equalitynow.org

This reminds me of when Senator Kamala Harris asked Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing for the US Supreme Court if there were any existing laws on the books that affect a man's right to control what happens to his body. The mission of this organization is impressive. Just think about all the countries today in which women are not equal under any law - they cannot drive, own property, or work. Some countries still support mutilation of women's bodies or even their stoning to death if they bring dishonor to their families. Eradicating any laws that treat women differently is a bold and valiant effort.
