This non-profit organization works to provide programs for Central Texas girls in 3rd through 12th grade to promote their self-esteem and help them realize they are "unstoppable." This organization has summer camps, after school activities and conferences to teach life skills to girls like preventing eating disorders, surviving depression, defeating low academic achievement, avoiding teen pregnancy, refusing drug use, responding to disappointment, and rebounding from challenges. This organization builds a supportive community and encourages girls to be strong and confident in their abilities. Seems to me this group may increase in importance even more, now that we know there is a direct, scientifically-proven correlation between social media usage and girls' low self-esteem. They have a newsletter with topics for parents to read and learn how to support their girls at home so there is an entire team working to build their children up.
