So many pundits anticipated this last election would result in a significant, historical gender gap among actual voters like the country has never seen before. A woman, at the top of the ticket who supports reproductive rights, running against a man found liable for sexual abuse and who is a convicted felon - it was not a stretch for the talking heads to assume the gender of the voting public would be a significant factor in the outcome of the election.

In every election since 1980, there has been a gender gap between 4 - 12 points, with more women than men preferring the Democratic nominee. The gender gap in the 2024 election simply followed suit. There was no historic showing of women voting for the Democrat in larger numbers than in any prior year. This article provides all the facts and statistics of who voted, their gender, their age, and their race.
